Japan - Prince, Prince Composed in 1868, this is the first modern Japanese military song. It was sung by the new government army. Its lyrics praise the bravery of the Satchō-do (薩長土) and denounce the former shogunate army as enemies opposing the emperor, making it a significant military song in that it provides insight into modern Japanese ideology. In the late 19th century, it was one of the most representative Japanese songs in Europe. I arranged this song because it's a song I personally like.
