Online Seller Selling Expired Veterinary Medication

⚠️ WARNING TO AQUARIUM HOBBYISTS ⚠️ In this video, I share my experience of ordering aquatic medication online to treat internal parasites in fish — only to discover the product had already expired before it even arrived. Using out-of-date fish medication can be extremely risky. Expired treatments may lose effectiveness, fail to eliminate parasites properly, and potentially contribute to medication resistance. In some cases, degraded ingredients can also affect water quality or stress sensitive aquatic species. In the UK, veterinary medicines are regulated under the Veterinary Medicines Regulations. According to UK government guidance, it is illegal to supply veterinary medicines after the expiry date shown on the packaging. This includes aquatic and fish treatments sold online. The Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD) states that expired veterinary products should be disposed of safely and must not be supplied to customers. This video raises awareness about: • Buying fish medication online • Checking expiry dates immediately • The dangers of expired aquatic treatments • UK regulations surrounding veterinary medicines • Protecting fish health and aquarium safety Always research treatments carefully and inspect products before use.
