Built by damming the Lucaia River, it has transformed over the centuries into a space for navigation, resistance, religiosity, and memory. In this video, A TARDE PLAY tells the true story of this place, from the Dutch invasions and Portuguese fortification projects, through the ancient rivers and flooded areas of Salvador, to the arrival of the sculptures of the orixás.
