It's been six years since Napoleon Bonaparte crowned himself Emperor of France. By 1813, he was already in dire straits. On the western front, Napoleon had been fighting against the armies of Spain, Portugal, and Great Britain since 1807 in the interminable Peninsular War (1807-1814), and those enemies were already advancing toward France's southern border. Meanwhile, on the eastern front, Napoleon launched an invasion of Russia in 1812, but was soundly defeated, and his army of 685,000 men was almost completely annihilated. More events would follow, and precisely in October of that same year, 1813, Napoleon would finally be defeated and forced to abdicate the French throne. I hope you enjoy this video. Sincerely, Victor Aguilar-Chang
