A few months earlier, Frederick the Great learned that the Austrians, French, and Russians were planning to attack him in the spring of 1757. He struck first. In August 1756, he invaded Saxony and defeated it. Frederick then launched an offensive against Bohemia to defeat Austria. But he failed. By 1757, France had joined the war, but an army from that kingdom was defeated at Rossbach on November 5, 1757. Frederick then maneuvered against an Austrian army that had entered Silesia, and on December 5, 1757, the Prussians achieved their victory at Leuthen. I hope you enjoy this video. Sincerely, Victor Aguilar-Chang
