Hamsiköy Rice Pudding Recipe Ingredients • 1 liter milk • 1 cup granulated sugar • ½ cup rice • 3 cups water • ½ teaspoon salt • ½ teaspoon vanilla For the sauce: • 1 egg yolk • 1 tablespoon cornstarch • ½ cup milk For topping: • Hazelnuts (optional) ⸻ Instructions 1. Wash the rice and place it in a pot. Add 3 cups of water and cook over medium heat until the rice is well softened. 2. In a separate pot, add the milk and sugar and bring to a boil. 3. Add the boiling sugary milk to the cooked rice. 4. Add salt and vanilla, stir, and let it simmer. 5. For the sauce; in a separate bowl, whisk the egg yolk, cornstarch, and ½ cup of milk until smooth. 6. Slowly add the prepared sauce to the rice pudding and simmer for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly. 7. Divide the cooked rice pudding into individual ramekins. 8. Place the ramekins in a baking tray and fill the tray with water up to half the height of the ramekins. 9. Bake in a preheated oven until golden brown. 10.
