Starting from the Col Raiser valley station in Santa Cristina, we follow a circular route that passes alpine pastures, historic refuges like the Rifugio Firenze, and leads us to the base of the dizzying walls of the Odle. An unforgettable day amidst panoramas that seem like paintings. 📊 TECHNICAL DATA: Location: Santa Cristina Valgardena (Bolzano), Val Gardena. Starting Point: Col Raiser valley station car park (1,429 m). Distance: 17.47 km | Elevation Gain: 1,143 m. Total Time: 9 hours 09 minutes (hiking pace with plenty of photo stops). Difficulty: E (Hiking). The route is long and has significant elevation gain, but technically it is not extremely difficult. The first stop is the Rifugio Firenze (Regensburger Hütte), nestled in a spectacular grassy valley. We continue towards the characteristic Baita Pieralongia, famous for its enormous twin boulders, and climb the Forcella Pana. Once we reach the crest of Seceda (2,519 m), the most famous view of the Dolomites opens up: the Odle peaks, stretching like blades of rock toward the sky. After reaching the highest point, we begin the descent, stopping at some of the most beautiful huts in the area, such as Baita Sofie and Baita Daniel, before returning to the valley.
