I Visited LEYSDOWN & SHELLNESS In Kent - I was BLOWN AWAY!

Welcome back my friends. Be prepared to be quite literally blown away as I venture out to a place I’ve never been before. Today I’m visiting Leysdown on Sea and Shellness beach on the east side of the Isle of Sheppey in Kent. It will be a 4K walking tour of two halves – the first taking you through the coastal village of Leysdown showing you all there is to see and do before heading just down the road to expore the deserted hidden gem of Shellness, all the while being battered by Storm Dave. Walk with me as we explore Leysdown’s lively streets perfect for family fun and classic British beach vibes. From wide sandy beaches, caravan holiday parks and charming beachfront cafes to quirky local attractions, amusements and arcades, this village offers something for everyone. Whether you’re hunting for a fun day out or a relaxing coastal retreat, this vibrant Kent destination is definitely worth a visit. Located only a short distance along the coast we discover the charm of Shellness, a serene coastal escape perfect for nature lovers and peace seekers. Sandy shores, tidal mudflats and stunning views across the estuary and towards Whitstable and Herne Bay, this is an off the beaten track gem that really is a unique (and slightly post apocalyptic!) experience. Wildlife, scenic walks and a tranquil atmosphere make this place a real treasure. Oh, and not forgetting the small detail that it’s home to an official naturist beach!
