Fantan Mojah (Owen Lennox Moncrieffe, 1976–2026) live on the Main Stage at Rototom Sunsplash 2007, Osoppo, Italy. Two years after his European debut with us, Fantan Mojah returned to the Rototom Main Stage as one of the most compelling voices of the roots revival. By 2007 his message-driven reggae — carried by the fire of "Hail The King," "Corruption," "Nuh Build Great Man" and more — had made him a firm favourite with European audiences, and this Main Stage set captures him in full command of the crowd. Born in White Hill, St. Elizabeth, Fantan Mojah rose from humble beginnings to become one of the defining conscious-reggae artists of his generation, championing faith, resilience and Rastafari throughout his career. Fantan Mojah passed away on 14 July 2026, aged 49. We share this recording from our archive in tribute to an artist who graced the Rototom stage more than once and left a lasting mark on reggae worldwide. Rest in power. 🕯️
