FANTAN MOJAH live at Rototom Sunsplash 2005 — his European debut

We've dug this concert out of our archives, filmed during the summer of 2005, shortly after the release of his acclaimed debut album Hail The King, this set marks Fantan Mojah's very first performance on a European stage, brought to the continent by Rototom Sunsplash at the height of his breakthrough year. Backed by his unmistakable delivery and Rastafari-rooted message, Fantan brought the fire of tracks like "Hail The King," "Corruption" and "Nuh Build Great Man" to the Rototom crowd. Born in White Hill, St. Elizabeth, Fantan Mojah rose from humble beginnings to become one of the defining voices of the mid-2000s roots revival, championing faith, resilience and social consciousness throughout his career. Fantan Mojah passed away on 14 July 2026, aged 49. We share this recording from our archive in tribute to an artist whose European journey began on our stage and who left a lasting mark on reggae worldwide.
