Oasis - Live in Vancouver, Commodore Ballroom, 29/1/1995

So, with Oasis not doing the Big Day Out festival anymore, Oasis continue on the west coast of America into Canada for their first Vancouver show! I'll be honest, looking over all the available Vancouver shows... Vancouver wasn't that great of an Oasis town if you understand what I'm saying. Sure, they performed in front of fans but it was never a city that was hit constantly, and a good reason was probably due to the infamous show in 1996 which led to a poor turn-out in 1998... and so on and so on. The gig is incomplete, which is obvious, and I would bet the setlist is jumbled too. Why is the soundboard incomplete, then? Every single source comes from a promo cassette issued by EPIC Records. That cassette is extremely hard to come by, but the more common version of the soundboard is via Flashbulb with their bootleg called "Listen Up." "Listen Up" is missing a few seconds of dialogue before Liam says "Evening anyway, how are ya?" The complete dialogue which can only be found on the cassette is "I don't know what the fuck that was all about... Evening anyway, how are ya? Rock n Roll Star." Even then, the cassette also catches Noel saying something too. More famously, this is one of the earliest renditions of Listen Up, and (It's Good) To Be Free with a soundboard source, making it one the more popular bootlegs in all of Oasis' history, and that's even with Liams vocals being completely shredded. And it would also explain why it's rumored that Liam walked off stage the following gig in Portland on the 30th of January. Could've been having vocal issues. In conclusion, a very popular bootleg has been given the Boot touch up, with the removal of some hiss and making the audio slightly more even. It's ready to roll now.
