KUARUP KAMAYURÁ 2025 - Parte 2

Kwarup Kamayurá – Part 2 | Ritual Dance, Fire, and Stars in the Upper Xingu Continuing our journey through the Xingu Indigenous Park, this second part of Kwarup Kamayurá reveals intense moments of the ceremony. In the afternoon, we recorded the ritual dance before the memorial logs, where men and women from the village, painted in vibrant colors, pay homage to those who have passed. As night falls, the log fires are lit, and the mourning vigil deepens, accompanied by the sound of maracas and ancestral chants. Visitors from other villages light their torches from these fires—the so-called "fire dance"—and carry the flame through the night. We also experienced the installation of Pisco de Luz lighting kits in the village's accommodation, combining sustainable technology with the preservation of traditions. And, alongside this, the spectacle of the Upper Xingu sky, free from light pollution, where shooting stars streaked the night of the ceremony. ⚡ In this episode, you'll see: The ritual dance in the village courtyard as dusk fell Nighttime mourning and the symbolism of tree trunk bonfires The "fire dance" with visitors from other villages The installation of solar kits in the indigenous lodge The starry sky of the Xingu, without interference from artificial light 🌍 With Pisco de Luz, we continue to bring sustainable energy to indigenous and rural communities, respecting ancestral heritage and strengthening bonds of dignity and belonging. 🔔 Subscribe to the channel and follow the next installments of the series. 💡 Support Pisco de Luz: www.piscodeluz.org Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ inaudio - Mokka Music - Fly Away Music from #InAudio: https://inaudio.org/ inaudio - Alexi Action-African Safari
