Disney World used to be "The most magical place on Earth". Now, planning a Disney vacation can feel like a full-time job with a credit card attached. In this video, I’m looking at how Disney World got so expensive. Ticket prices, date-based pricing, Park Hopper add-ons, Lightning Lanes, hotel perks, virtual queues, and microtransactions, and the pressure families feel to make a once-in-a-lifetime Disney trip happen no matter the cost. This is not a video blaming Disney adults, parents, or people who go into debt trying to give their kids a magical childhood. I was a Disney kid too. The problem is that Disney has turned nostalgia, parental guilt, FOMO, and childhood “magic” into a luxury product with increasingly confusing systems and more ways to pay. Is Disney World still worth it? Or has Disney’s corporate greed turned the magic into endless paywalls?
