Professor Marcin Kula is a historian and sociologist, a professor of humanities, specializing in social history, the history of Poland and Latin America, and historical memory. A graduate of history and sociology at the University of Warsaw, he has been a long-time employee of the Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a lecturer at the University of Warsaw and the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw. He is the author of numerous scholarly publications on topics including the history of the Polish People's Republic, Latin America, and reflections on the role of history and collective memory.
