Mountain Men vs. Klamath Warriors : Kit Carson, John C. Fremont & The Klamath Lake Massacre Of 1846
In the spring of 1846, John C. Fremont’s “scientific expedition” ventures into what is now Southern Oregon. Joining them is legendary mountain man Kit Carson. The two men have explored much of the west in the past few years, managing to stay alive through all manner of danger and privation. Today, they are revered figures in America’s national history. But in the foreboding wilds surrounding Klamath Lake, they come under attack by a local tribe who has heard of their mistreatment of other tribes in the area. The resulting battle, and Carson’s subsequent revenge attack, are some of the darkest, and little-known events in the history of the Old West.
