Hüseyin Adatepe, appointed as Bartın Police Chief, began his duties today. The new Chief of Police, Adatepe, welcomed him and kissed the hand of the martyr's father. Hüseyin Adatepe, appointed as Bartın Police Chief from the Artvin Police Department by Presidential Decree, arrived in Bartın and began his duties. A welcoming ceremony was held for Provincial Police Chief Adatepe in the garden of the police headquarters. He was greeted with flowers by Adatepe personnel, and among those welcoming him was Orhan Açıkgöz, father of Special Operations Police Officer Mustafa Kemal Açıkgöz, who was martyred in the armed clash in Van on February 14, 2000. Upon learning that Orhan Açıkgöz was the father of a martyr, Chief Adatepe removed his hat and kissed Açıkgöz's hand. Adatepe chatted briefly with the martyr's father and then invited him to his office and shook hands with his staff. Adatepe met with each of the martyrs and shook hands, and took a commemorative photo with his colleagues in front of the building. Provincial Police Chief Hüseyin Adatepe said, "We have been appointed to this position with the approval of the President and the approval of our Minister of the Interior. May God protect us. We will work tirelessly to ensure the safety of Bartın. We will hold an evaluation meeting with our colleagues." Following the welcome, Adatepe held an evaluation meeting with deputy police chiefs, police chiefs, and commissioners.
