Large scale, high grade: Filo CEO Jamie Beck envisions up to 70 years of production at Filo del Sol

Filo Corp. (TSX:FIL) continues to deliver high-quality results from its Filo del Sol project, stirring the imagination of what a potential mine could look like, says President & CEO Jamie Beck. In February Beck spoke to Kitco Mining at the BMO Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference 2024 in Hollywood, Florida. The project, which straddles the border between Argentina and Chile, is a high-sulphidation epithermal copper-gold-silver deposit associated with a large porphyry copper-gold system. Recent drilling extended the Aurora Zone 200 metres to the northwest. West of current drilling, hole FSDH100 intersected 631.3 meters at 0.68% copper-equivalent, including 20 metres @ 95.8 grams per tonne silver. “It has the potential to convert mineralization that would be previously considered as waste, and maybe start thinking of bringing it into a plan. So really impactful,” Beck said of hole 100. Filo’s 2024 exploration involves nine rigs drilling 40-50,000 metres. Half of those metres will be focused on step-outs from the Aurora Zone. New exploration targets are also in the drilling cue.
