Yeshua in the Wilderness (From Moses to the Restoration of All Things)
In Luke 24:27, Yeshua is reported as telling the two disciples on the road to Emmaus "beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures." This remarkable statement encourages believers to search even the most obscure portions of the Torah for shadows, types, patterns, and prophetic anticipations of the Messiah. Numbers 25:10–30:1 may initially appear to consist largely of genealogies, census records, inheritance laws, sacrificial regulations, and festival instructions. Yet beneath these historical and legal passages are numerous pictures that point forward to Yeshua and His redemptive work. Likewise, although this section does not explicitly proclaim universal restoration, it contains themes that harmonize beautifully with Peter's declaration in Acts 3:21 that Yeshua remains in heaven "until the period of restoration of all things."
