Quinnipiac River Marshland
Kayaking the Quinnipiac River around North Haven, CT - June 2026 Wildlife observed: 2 large snapping turtles just beneath the kayak, 1 otter in marsh tributary, swan and numerous osprey. Boat Launch: Sackett Point Road. North Haven, CT - Turn off is off Sackett Point Road by what looks to be an industrial site (cement or some such). Long gravel road leads to gravel ramp and small gravel parking lot. Picnic table and some area to fish also. Notes: This is a tidal salt marsh portion of the river so be aware of tides. #kayaking #wildlife #quinnipiacriver #kayak #nature #paddling
