Historic changes for anglers in North Rhine-Westphalia! The North Rhine-Westphalia State Parliament has passed the Second Law Amending the State Fisheries Act. This brings about the most significant changes for anglers in decades. In this video, association president Uli Beyer explains the most important changes and their implications for fishing in North Rhine-Westphalia. These include: ✅ Fishing exam and fishing license available from age 12 ✅ Abolition of the youth fishing license ✅ Simplified fishing regulations for young people ✅ Introduction of the digital fishing license ✅ Lifetime fishing license ✅ Digital payment of fishing fees ✅ Less bureaucracy for anglers We are particularly pleased about the reduction of the minimum age for the fishing exam from 14 to 12, meaning that young people with the appropriate fishing license can now fish independently from the age of 12. The new regulations are intended to make fishing simpler, more modern, and more family-friendly, while simultaneously preparing the fisheries administration for the future.
