5 crays in one net! Catching Murray Crayfish with chicken necks

I had a very successful open to crayfish season, even if it was 3 days late due to travel restrictions. My only regret is not arriving earlier in the day! Chicken necks proved to be the bait of choice by the local crayfish population, only 2 crays were caught on dog food tied into stockings.
