Identify soil conservation practices. Recognize the stages of the water cycle. Relating soil conservation to the preservation of water resources. ⏱️ Duration 1 lesson (50 minutes) 📖 Introduction Soil and water are essential natural resources for life. Soil provides nutrients for plants and serves as the basis for various human activities. Water circulates continuously in nature through the water cycle. When soil is misused, erosion, nutrient loss, and river contamination can occur. Therefore, it is important to adopt conservation practices. 🌱 Soil Conservation Practices Some actions help protect the soil: ✅ Planting trees and vegetation; ✅ Crop rotation; ✅ Avoiding burning; ✅ Proper use of water in agriculture; ✅ Construction of contour lines on sloping terrain; ✅ Preservation of riparian forests near rivers. Benefits Reduced erosion; Conservation of soil fertility; Protection of rivers and springs; Increased agricultural productivity. 💧 The Water Cycle Water is always in motion in nature. Main stages: Evaporation – water from rivers, lakes, and seas turns into vapor. Condensation – the vapor forms clouds. Precipitation – rain, hail, or snow occurs. Infiltration and runoff – some of the water penetrates the soil and some returns to rivers and oceans. 🔄 Relationship between Soil and Water Well-conserved soil favors the infiltration of rainwater, reduces flooding, and helps replenish groundwater. Soil degradation can cause erosion and silting of rivers. 📝 Short Activities 1. Answer. Why is it important to conserve the soil? 2. Complete. The main stages of the water cycle are: _________________, __________________, _________________ and __________________. 3. Mark the correct alternative. A soil conservation practice is: a) Frequent burning. b) Deforestation of areas near rivers. c) Preserving vegetation and riparian forests. ✅ Answer Key Activity 1 Because soil is important for food production, vegetation, and water conservation. Activity 2 Evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and infiltration/runoff. Activity 3 ✅ c) Preserving vegetation and riparian forests. 🌎 Interesting Fact A tree helps protect the soil against erosion because its roots keep the land firm and promote the infiltration of rainwater. 📚 Conclusion Soil conservation and the water cycle are directly linked. Caring for the soil means protecting rivers, springs, and the availability of water for future generations. Small conservation actions contribute to a more balanced and sustainable environment. 🌱💧🌎✨ ---- ➡️ This content was produced by the Municipality of Anápolis, SEMED - Municipal Department of Education, CEADI – Municipal Center for Distance Learning of Anápolis. 🤝 Objective: To connect students, teachers, and families in building a public, innovative, and quality education. 📚 For more lessons, tips, and learning paths, subscribe to the channel, activate the bell 🔔 and follow our content! ✨ Also visit our website: 👍https://sites.google.com/edu.anapolis... 🎯 Keywords: free video lessons, academic support, elementary education, BNCC (National Common Core Curriculum), innovative education, blended learning, teacher training, quality public education, continuing education.
