Embracing creative uncertainty
I’ve recently finished a series of paintings and now find myself in that familiar in-between space, the part of the creative cycle where nothing is clear yet and I don't know what I'm doing next. In this studio vlog, I’m talking about what happens after a body of work is complete. The fertile void. The phase of divergence. The collecting, experimenting, noticing, and trusting that the next idea will reveal itself in time. I share how I move between divergent thinking (idea generation, expansion, experimentation) and convergent thinking (focus, refinement, development), and why I’ve learned not to rush from one to the other. If you’re in a creative season of not knowing, this might be good for you. Not knowing isn’t the absence of creativity, it is often a part of the process for me.
