The Villages Florida, Donuts and Sprinklers

New construction in The Villages incorporates automated irrigation of residential lawns. Lawns are sodded with St Augustine grass which grows out in strands. These strands can obstruct the automatic sprinkler heads as they extend up and down during the watering cycle. To prevent this, some residents install irrigation donuts around the sprinklers. This video shows the benefits of installation and the maintenance of those donuts. Charlie and Jennifer Pryde have lived in The Villages for one year and in Central Florida for fifteen years. Our main activities in The Villages are biking, fitness parks, pickle ball, platform tennis, golf and swimming. We love to travel throughout Florida, the United States and internationally.
