At the end of 2025, the association's annual lecture series presents a special highlight: the exploration of the mysterious flak tower ruins in Volkspark Friedrichshain. Before a team from Berliner Unterwelten e.V. (Berlin Underworlds Association) rediscovered the traces of what was likely the first exploration after the war, others had already ventured into the ruins. This lecture will unravel a decades-old mystery in the association's history. Berliner Unterwelten e.V. has been researching and documenting historical, primarily underground, structures in the capital since 1997 and, where possible, making them accessible to the public through guided tours. Around the Gesundbrunnen S-Bahn and U-Bahn station, as well as at other locations in the city, the association has developed a comprehensive program of tours, exhibitions, educational seminars, and other events over the past 25 years. For its contributions to the preservation of historical monuments, the non-profit organization was awarded the "Silver Hemisphere" in 2006. www.berliner-unterwelten.de
