Flakbunker Humboldthain Berlin-Wedding

The flak bunker in Humboldthain was built in 1941/1942 for the air defense of the Reich capital. After the war the bunker was in the French sector. Two of the four flak towers were blown up by the French army. The bunker was then partially covered with rubble and then greened. The video shows the outdoor area and various areas of the interior. The video is moderated by Jürgen Wedemeyer from the "Berliner Unterwelten" association. The "Berliner Unterwelten" association organizes tours for various target groups through various bunker systems in Berlin: technical tours, tours for children or general tourist tours. During Corona, the number of visitors had to be greatly reduced and at times the bunkers had to close completely. Therefore the financial situation of the association is critical.
