He Uses the Weirdest Spin I've Ever Faced...

I entered the Men's Open division at the Ballarat Open expecting some tough matches, but I wasn't prepared for this tactical nightmare. In this round, I went head-to-head against Anthony Majtlis—a brutal hybrid player who chops with long pips on his backhand, but completely flips the script by attacking with his forehand. To make things worse, his forehand loops carry some of the weirdest spin variations I’ve ever had to read: heavy sidespin, unexpected dip, and sometimes almost a dead backspin block. It quickly turned into an absolute chess match that pushed us all the way to a 5th set decider. My game plan had to adapt fast: play slow on the first couple of opening loops to absorb his spin variation, wait for the weak variation, and then completely blast the next ball.
