STI DCCD or Aftermarket DCCD control: Which is better?

Pretty much every STI that came from the factory with a 6-Speed transmission had an Electronically Controlled Center Differential. A DCCD. And those STI's had an "Auto" mode to let the car work to use the DCCD to improve handling and grip, etc. As we have now spent a lot of time looking at how the aftermarket DCCD controllers improve the function in swapped cars, we have been left with a question. How does this compare to an STI that had this kind of control from the start? Is the STI DCCD still better than any aftermarket controller? Or does an aftermarket controller bring the same or better level of functionality to the DCCD? To answer this question, we brought out Alec and his 2006 STI that has a stock drivetrain to see how it compares to our 2003 WRX now that it has the STI 6-Speed and MAP DCCD controller. Thanks for watching, and a huge thanks to Alec for bringing his STI down to the shop for this test! Stay Tuned!
