This time, I'm renovating a shimpaku tree that's been neglected for over 15 years! I've pruned it, thinned the leaves, added gin, and changed the planting angle! I've included easy-to-understand, detailed instructions on how to create the head and branch trellises. ^ - ^ I originally planned to make this shimpaku tree into a standing tree with a moyogi (patterned tree)! However, there are so many cool moyogi trees out there, so I wanted to create a unique tree shape, so I went for a Ōkengai (large-angled tree) tree, which is an even more tilted kengai (hanging-edge tree) shape! It's a large-sized bonsai, so it took quite a while, but I think it's been reborn from its unkempt state. ^ - ^ I created it with the image of a flowing waterfall, so it has a flowing feel!
