Thomastik TI Flatwounds Review vs. La Bella Low Tension | Semi-Hollow Short Scale Bass

Are the Thomastik-Infeld JF344 Jazz flatwounds worth the high price? How do they compare with the La Bella low tension flats? In Episode 6 of our unsponsored Short Scale Bass Flatwound Review series, we deep-dive into the feel, tension and tonal balance of these expensive low tension Thomastiks-Infelds! These are my favourite flatwound strings and I have this set on several basses. Similar to previous episodes, the test bass is an Ibanez AGB200 semi-hollow short scale bass. To keep things as consistent as possible, care was taken to have the same signal chain, same cable and as similar as possible setup and pickup to string heights. The strings were installed and played in for 3 weeks prior to recording this video. The bass was recorded direct through a Line6 Pod Go with my usual GK800RB model settings. Level matched, but no EQ or compression was added in post.
