Continuing with the efforts to regularize land titles, the Municipality of Resistencia met with residents of Villa Libertad to present the approved survey plans, the result of months of work, and to provide each family with a copy. Dorina Valentina Brest, a resident, emphasized that “this work is highly anticipated, especially for residents who have lived in the neighborhood for 40 years.” “After so many promises and back-and-forths, it’s finally happening, and it brings immense joy to everyone,” she expressed. For her part, Alicia Ogara, Undersecretary of Territorial Development for the Province, explained that, on this occasion, folders containing survey plans were delivered to 130 families whose homes are located on land subject to expropriation law. “This document defines the characteristics of the land, its dimensions, and the layout of the streets and sidewalks. Therefore, from an urban planning perspective, it's fantastic, and from a personal and social perspective as well,” he affirmed. The Secretariat of Territorial Development also noted that the first meeting with families in the area was held several months ago to begin the process, which is now nearing completion and will conclude with the delivery of property titles. These documents provide legal security for each owner.
