I purchased a 1981 Owatonna Mustang 1700 skid steer from Facebook Marketplace for $1,800.00 that was sold as non-operable. Will it run? Inc.) was the company that produced Mustang skid steer loaders starting in 1965. Eventually Owatonna/Mustang was bought by ‪@gehl1859‬ in 1997, and GEHL was in turn purchased in 2008 by ‪@Manitou‬ . It appears at this time the Mustang brand of skid steers has been retired and is no longer being manufactured, and that Maintou skid steers seem to be rebranded GEHL skid steers.
