In this video, I'm back in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, to prepare for my onward journey to Georgia. Kathmandu is the country's center and lies at an altitude of 1,350 meters. More than 1.7 million people live here, while the entire Kathmandu Valley has a population of over 3.2 million. More than 80% of the residents are Hindus, 10% are Buddhists, and approximately 5% are Muslims. Kathmandu is loud, dusty, and chaotic. The horn is the primary means of communication on the streets. Although many historical buildings were severely damaged in a major earthquake in 2015, reconstruction is well underway. Kathmandu offers accommodation for every budget, from very affordable hostels to luxurious boutique hotels. The culinary scene is one of the city's highlights.
