The Ministry of Forestry, along with the Gunung Leuser National Park Office (BBTNGL), the Directorate General of Forestry Criminal Law Enforcement, the Directorate of Area Conservation (KSDAE), the Forest Area Order Task Force (PKH), the Aceh Tamiang and Langkat Regency Leadership Council (Muspida), the Police Chief, the District Attorney, the Regional Development Planning Agency (BPKHTL) Region I, the Sub-district Leadership Council (Muspika), the community, and several conservation NGOs carried out a restoration effort for the TNGL forest area on Thursday (September 4, 2025). The effort involved the felling of 19.32 hectares of illegal oil palm plantations in the Tenggulun Forest Block, Aceh Tamiang Regency, using heavy equipment. Additionally, 10 hectares of illegal rubber plantations in the Hitam Block, Lembah Waren, and Paten Kuda, Langkat Regency, were also felled using chainsaws.
