The executive celebrated the rapid adoption of the "People's Gas" program, which distributes vouchers to low-income families. "In four months, we achieved more than the 'Popular Pharmacy' program achieved in 20 years," he said. To meet the demand, the company increased investments. "We have almost R$ 1 billion in capex this year." Turqueto criticized regulatory proposals discussed in recent years. According to him, international experiences show that, in a market of scale and tight margins, poorly calibrated changes tend to produce distortions. "Either there is a lack of investment, which is the case in Africa, or we see organized crime strongly entering the market, which is the case in Mexico," he said. Regarding a possible stronger return of the State to the sector, the executive states that he sees no competitive threat. “I trust my work.
