Gender-Based Violence in the Modern Era: What We Know Works So Far
In our second session of the MenEngage CoLab series, we shifted our focus from analysis to action. Following our first discussion on the links between online extremism, misogyny, and real-world violence, this session explored the solutions and effective strategies for addressing the root causes of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). We delved into promising examples of addressing SGBV across both online and offline spaces, discussed gender-transformative approaches that challenge patriarchal norms, and shared key lessons learned from practical experiences in working with men and boys to prevent violence. This essential conversation brought together activists and experts to strengthen our collective response to ending gender-based violence in the modern era.
