Men and boys as agents of change to feminism and tackling barriers to solidarity_CSW69 Side Event

This year’s CSW convenes amidst some of the most pressing political challenges to women’s rights since the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action. In this critical context, we invite you to a high-level CSW Side Event to reflect on the progress made and the gaps that remain in engaging men and boys for gender justice since Beijing – and what strategies are needed to continue the push forward in engaging men and boys for gender equality. Speakers will examine the growing resistance among men and boys to gender equality efforts. We will explore transformative approaches to masculinities across key issues— from gender-based violence and unpaid care to climate justice, SRHR, and digital spaces. This high-level dialogue will explore what it takes for men and boys to recognize their critical role in the feminist movement and how we can bridge the divide to foster meaningful engagement.
