The Roller Coasters That Brought Thrills to Las Vegas

For a brief but remarkable period, Las Vegas embraced roller coasters as part of its identity. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, resorts along the Strip experimented with thrill rides built directly into their properties, using speed, height and spectacle to attract attention in an increasingly competitive city. Explores the rise and decline of roller coasters in Las Vegas, from early headline grabbing attractions like High Roller at the Stratosphere and Desperado at Buffalo Bills, to resort integrated coasters such as Manhattan Express and Speed The Ride.
