Mongo continue rebuilding engines this winter. Crankcase seal kit PN: 594195 (it come with seal and new bolts cause they torque to yield the bolts need be replaced) crankshaft seal PN: 795387 oil filter PN: C3B9 This engine very dirty so clean it up before opening it up. To replace case seal don't need to do this part. it just cause it so dirty. Start by removing the 4 bolts on the fan guard, then removing the air filter cover and there 2 screws under the air filter. then loosen the 4 outside cover bolts and can remove the engine cover. Then remove windage trays so can get to more of the engine to clean. Just scrapping debris and wire blush and of course Mr. Brake clean. To replace case seal, drain oil and remove oil filter. Then tip on its back with cylinders pointing up in V form. Mongo put a mark on governor so can make sure can line back up right and can remove the case bolts. Sometimes seal make engine case and sump stick together couple light taps with hammer to get it loose and slide it off the crank shaft. Kit come with instructions to replace gasket. Always recommend use right instructions. Mongo no follow these instructions so just note. Mongo use razor blade to clean gasket, make sure not to damage surfaces of case and sump. Use a seal puller to remove the old crank shaft seal. Seal always go in with spring ring facing the oil side. Use a piece of wood to pound new seal in. Make sure seal go in straight or might damage new seal. try to make sure to set the seal to same place were old one was removed. Mongo use high tac gasket sealer on case seal and set case seal on dowels for engine so it rest nice and can install sump. This sump have oil pump in side so there a little shaft connecting oil pump to camshaft, can be tricky to line up, when reinstalling make sure this get lined up right or it won't spin oil pump and can destroy engine. Mongo line it and camshaft up with top hole for sump and put shaft in the sump side when installing on engine. When installing Mongo use a light tap on sump to get the seal over the crank shaft, then it finish sliding in. If there little gap between case and sump then oil pump shaft not right. don't pound on it just take back of and try again. new sump bolts have very special torque pattern and NOTE: Mongo didn't follow, just run it to 325lbs/in or 37Nm or 27lbs/ft (depend on torque wrench) Then can reconnect the governor, make sure to line it up right. Install new oil filter and fill with oil then gotta test and check for leaks. This engine not good for clamping to the bench so bolt it into a rolling frame open headers!! IT RUN GOOD and no LEAKS Hopefully this video help you if you ever need to replace engine case seal or clean engine.
