Part 2 – Our Crimean Journey with @kate_tverdokhleb We moved on, without a clear plan, just driving forward 😄 Our next stop was the village of Goncharnoye, also close to Sevastopol. Goncharnoye is located in the Baydarskaya Valley, one of the most beautiful places in Crimea. However, the villages in the Baydarskaya Valley vary from one another – some are suitable for hiking and tourism, while others are more suitable for permanent residence in Crimea. Goncharnoye falls into the latter category (if you want to go to the mountains, it's best to go to Uzundzha, the village of Kolkhoznoye). Goncharnoye boasts: ✔ beautiful luxury homes with large plots and mountain views; ✔ new middle-class homes; ✔ older buildings. The village itself has a school, shops, a first aid station, a market, and good access roads. The center of the Baydarskaya Valley is located in the village of Orlinoye, where there is also a hospital, village council, a large school, and a kindergarten. Goncharnoye has less infrastructure, but it's still comfortable to live in. All the villages in the Baydarskaya Valley are connected by bus. Here you can go quadcopter flying, horseback riding, or meditate in the mountains. We didn't find any lakes in Goncharnoye (they are in Peredovoye, Ozernoye, and Kolkhoznoye), but the surrounding nature is beautiful and inspires peace and quiet in this small corner of Crimea. Incidentally, the sea is quite close (about 30 minutes by public transport). Overall, Goncharnoye is a good option for a quiet getaway. I would come here in early autumn or the fashionable spring to contemplate nature and recharge. To be continued ⏩
