Oboronnoye is a small village (or rather, tiny) right outside Sevastopol. It is located on a small hill. From there you will have a panoramic view of Mount Sapun, the Balaklava Valley and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, apart from the gorgeous views, Oboronnoye has no infrastructure. There is no good access road either. We looked in vain for shops, markets, kiosks – nothing… But! People live there and quite well. If you are looking for a quiet place near Sevastopol with beautiful views, then Oboronnoye is a great option. The houses here are both old and brand new, land for individual housing construction. People with flexible schedules or pensioners live there (old houses have an advantage). In the last 2 years, Oboronnoye has received a breath of fresh air and attracted foreign citizens to buy mini-residences here, so Americans, Germans and Dutch can be neighbors here.
