The Busiest CSX Single Track Mainline in Georgia

Come along as we cover the middle portion of the CSX Fitzgerald Subdivision from Rebecca to Montezuma, GA. Playing host to a wide variety of freight trains every day, "The Fitz" sees traffic from all over the southeast and midwest ranging from central Illinois coal to south Florida phosphate trains and even occasionally hosting run-through potash trains from Canada! The former Atlantic and Birmingham Railroad would be proud to see what has become of the line that traces its origin back to 1901 (the Fitzgerald to Montezuma portion, anyway).
