What Do Citra LUPOMAX Hops Taste Like? SMaSH Beer Experiment

We taste test Citra SMaSH beers made with LUPOMAX hops by Yakima Valley Hops. LUPOMAX hop products are a new concentrated version of some of your favorite hop varieties. This video we focus on Citra LUPOMAX. The LUPOMAX product is a concentration of traditional pellets where some of the vegetal material has been removed from the pelleting process. The result is a hop pellet that only requires 70% of the weight of the traditional hop pellet equivalent. In this week's video, John brewed three beers. The first with traditional Citra pellets. The second was Citra LUPOMAX made with 100% the same weight as the traditional pellets. The third beer was made using the 70% reduction factor. We try all three side by side to give you our take on the Citra LUPOMAX hop product from Yakima Valley Hops.
