SBI Modified POPAT

The North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation's (SBI) Modified Physical Assessment Test is required of all applicants to assess their ability to complete possible physical law enforcement functions on the job. There are six (6) phases to the SBI Modified Physical Assessment Test. Each phase must be completed in the correct sequence. The entire assessment must be completed in less than 6 minutes (5:59). At 6 minutes, the test will stop, regardless of completion.
