Jésus, sa résurrection, et après ? et comment ? (Jean 20:1-31)
Sermon by Pastor Marc Pernot at Saint Pierre Church in Geneva for Sunday, April 11, 2021 Text available at https://jecherchedieu.ch/temoignages/... 00:00 - Reading from the Gospel of John 20 05:59 - Sermon Texts from the Gospel of John 20 On the first day of the week, very early, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the tomb. 2So she ran to Simon Peter and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, and said to them, “They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have laid him.” 3Then Peter and the other disciple went out and made their way to the tomb. 4They were both running together, but the other disciple outran Peter and reached the tomb first. 5He bent down and saw the linen cloths lying there, but he did not go in. 6Then Simon Peter, who was following him, came and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7and the face cloth that had been on Peter’s head, which was not lying with the linen cloths but rolled up in a place by itself. 8The other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and he saw and believed. 9They still did not understand the Scripture that Jesus would rise from the dead. 10Then the disciples went back to their homes. 11Mary stood outside the tomb weeping. As she wept, she bent down to look into the tomb 12 and saw two angels in white, sitting at the head and feet where Jesus’ body had been. 13 They asked her, “Woman, why are you crying?” She said to them, “They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him.” 14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. 15 Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you crying? Whom are you looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said to him, “Sir, if you have taken him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will get him.” 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned and called out to him in Hebrew, “Rabboni” (which means Teacher). 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not touch me!” for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” 18 Then Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and what he had said to her. 19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Judeans, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 20 As he spoke, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord. 21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, they have been forgiven. If you hold them back from others, they have been held back from them.” 24Thomas, one of the Twelve, called the Twin (Didymus in Greek), was not with them when Jesus came. 25So the other disciples told him, “We have seen the Lord!” But he answered them, “Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.” 26A week later, his disciples were inside again, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came, though the doors were locked, and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 27Then he said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.” 28Thomas answered him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have faith.” 30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
