Exploring The FAR SOUTH PHILIPPINES! Sitangkai to Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi

YOU CAN'T GO FURTHER SOUTH IN THE PHILIPPINES THAN THIS! Today, we're exploring the Philippines Far South! From Sitangkai to Sibutu, Tawi-Tawi, we will see the unique life of those at the end of the Sulu Archipelago. Here, we are so close to Sabah and the Celebes Sea. After exploring the floating market of Sitangkai at high tide this morning, we took the manliest speedboat we could find all the way to Sikulan Island, part of the municipality of Sibutu, and the southernmost island of the Philippines. Its lighthouse dates back to 1827, but unfortunately the metal has rusted away after all of those years, so we can't climb it. The community here makes its livelihood from seaweed - and we can see this everywhere! I would have loved to have explored Sibutu more - but we've run out of time. With a flight to catch the next day, I had to go back to Bongao, where we were treated to sea mantis! Tawi-Tawi - what an amazing province! ================ CONTACT ME!
