A large number of people come here to relax, walk, and spend their leisure time. Many visitors arrive in the city for official or government-related work and choose this place to enjoy some peace and quiet. Surrounded by roads on all sides, this ground is considered one of the city's most important landmarks. This is a historic ground where many intellectuals and political leaders have addressed public gatherings from the famous Seminary Stage over the years. A grand and towering statue of Mahatma Gandhi is also installed here, making it one of the major attractions of the site. During the evening, I noticed many young people engaged in physical training. Some were preparing for the army, others for paramilitary forces, while many were training for police, home guard, and various government service examinations. Several coaching and training institutes also conduct practice sessions for aspiring candidates here. All 13 entry gates of the ground are equipped with security cameras for public safety. Thousands of people visit this place for exercise, morning and evening walks, and relaxation. Children can be seen playing cricket, while others enjoy football on the vast open field.
