Investigação apura morte suspeita de mulher encontrada na piscina da casa do namorado

Deizeally Cristine, 32, moved to Guararema, in the interior of São Paulo state, after meeting Paulo Honda, a 64-year-old retired civil police officer. She was found dead in the swimming pool of the residence where she lived with him. The incident occurred just ten days after her arrival in the city from Marmelópolis, Minas Gerais. Police are investigating the incident as a suspicious death. Paulo told authorities that Deizeally went out to buy sandals on the day of the incident and did not return. He found her absence strange and began searching for her in the surrounding area before finding her lifeless body in the pool when he returned home late at night. According to him, the pool cover was intact when he found the body. The history of the relationship between the two is being investigated due to Paulo's background: there are previous police records involving domestic violence against a former partner. The investigation into those assaults was concluded the day before the tragedy with his partner. Police conducted an investigation at the scene and collected the victim's personal belongings for analysis while trying to clarify the circumstances of the death — whether accidental or criminal — considering possibilities such as femicide or suicide. Neighbors reported knowing little about the couple who had recently moved to the neighborhood; family members expressed dissatisfaction with the relationship from the beginning.
