Viento RV Camping Biking old Hwy 84 and Epic Flower Hike at Memaloose and Glass on the Columbia Rive

🌲 RV Adventure to Viento State Park | Columbia River Gorge Camping, Hiking, Wildflowers & Winery Visit 🍷🚶‍♂️ Join us as we spend several days camping at beautiful Viento State Park in the heart of Oregon’s spectacular Columbia River Gorge! This campground offers huge, oversized campsites with plenty of room to spread out, making it a great place to relax after a day of exploring. We enjoyed hiking the nearby trails, biking through the area, and taking advantage of the easy access to the Columbia River. Like many campgrounds in the Gorge, Viento has its trade-offs. Interstate 84 runs along one side of the park, while the Union Pacific railroad tracks are on the other. That means traffic and trains can be heard throughout the day and night. Surprisingly, after a while, you hardly notice them—and the incredible scenery, towering cliffs, and beautiful forests more than make up for the background noise. During our stay, we also took a scenic day trip to Memaloose State Park, where the spring wildflowers were in full bloom, creating one of the most colorful landscapes we’ve seen in the Gorge. We also stopped by a local vineyard and winery to enjoy the beautiful views and sample some of the region’s renowned wines. Whether you’re looking for camping inspiration, hiking ideas, Columbia River Gorge scenery, or simply enjoy traveling Oregon with us, we hope you’ll come along for the adventure!
