Charting a Course for Maritime’s Future - Conference 2026 As the Secretariat, we were pleased to host and deliver IMEC’s Conference on the 21st of May, titled “Charting a Course for Maritime’s Future” bringing together a diverse audience of industry delegates, Flag States, IMEC Members, Cadets, and Seafarers. At its core, the conference theme was about “Putting People at the Helm” creating a platform to listen, reflect, and ensure that the voices of seafarers are not only heard, but actively shaping the future of our industry. Hosted by Carl King - Stewart Bankier & Claire Martine Caditan CSM, Jörn Clodius & Dymtro Makarchuk - Marlow Navigation, Katrin Hümmer & Olha Lunina - Oldendorff Carriers. This was an opportunity for the panelists to share the personal stories, what drives them, and how the industry can better attract and support future talent.
